Technical Lead with Java

Our client is a leader in the fintech industry providing solutions for online, in-app and in-store payments. They offer features such as global acquiring, alternative payment methods, fraud and risk management, card issuing and an in-house e-wallet solution. Now, they are looking for a Tech Lead to join a team focused on solutions optimizing POS payments.

How you will spend your time:

• Technically lead a team of highly skilled professionals
• Design and implement solution components according to best practices
• Collaborate with team members & stakeholders to clarify the assignment
• Help with the initial work breakdown structure and estimations
• Provide mentorship and code reviews to team members
• Proactively identify potential improvements, and lead their implementation
• Review the quality of all deliverables: code, tests, documentation
• Take part in scaling highly available payment services (99.99% uptime)

What you will need:

• Experience in leading a team (5-10 people)

• Experience in core Java and/or J2EE, Spring

• Knowledge of ORM solutions, e.g. Hibernate

• Advanced database experience with MySQL/ PostgreSQL

• Comfortable with TDD/BDD practices, JUnit

• Self-starter & passionate about high-quality software systems

• An enthusiastic, hard-working, motivated person with excellent communication skills and a sense of humor :)

• What would be an advantage:

• Experience in building APIs using the latest standards

• Experience with JavaScript (React, Redux)

• Experience with bigger codebases, refactoring

• Experience with Docker, AWS, Terraform, and Ansible

• Web security knowledge
