Credit Controller

Our Client provides tailored financial services and solutions to support the purchase and leasing of vehicles and equipment. They specialize in offering flexible financing options, ensuring customers can optimize their fleet operations efficiently and cost-effectively. On behalf of our Client, we are looking for a Credit Controller for Bulgaria.

Responsibilities:

• Proactively manage and effectively collect debts (soft and hard), closely monitor overdue receivables, and mitigate the risk of bad debts.
• Maintain comprehensive notes of all collection activities within the ERP system.
• Engage regularly with overdue customers to negotiate repayments, restructure contracts, facilitate transfers or repossessions, and devise solutions for bad debt cases.
• Collaborate with external litigators alongside the Credit Risk Manager, overseeing all recovery cases and managing the legal process to ensure efficient debt recovery.
• Prepare and execute local buy-back agreements, guarantees, and ownership transfers, and administer pledge register documents with precision.
• Participate in the termination, repossession, return, and remarketing processes of financed assets, working closely with the Credit Risk Manager and taking responsibility for asset management.
• Coordinate AML activities as part of the local AML team, ensuring compliance and regulatory adherence.

Requirements:

• More than 5 years of experience in credit control and bad debts procedures, relevant experience in a international leasing company would be considered as a strong advantage
• Legal educational background would be an advantage
• Very good level of English
• Advanced MS Excel skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, working effectively with demanding customers in a calm and effective manner
• Solution oriented, with a can-do attitude
• Excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills
