We're in a phase of exponential growth and we’re seeking our Head of Engineering.

What will your mission be?

As the Head of Engineering, you'll play a crucial role in managing and growing our engineering team to develop innovative solutions that address the challenges of scaling the insect industry. You'll oversee multiple company projects, from equipment engineering to facilities design, and ensure successful implementation and commissioning of our insect bioconversion farms worldwide.

What Awaits You Each Day?

• Equipment Engineering: design, prototype, test, productize, commission, and maintain specialized insect rearing and breeding equipment, while sourcing OEM manufacturers.

• Process Engineering: specify and design all processes and source standard equipment.

• Facilities: prepare feasibility studies, design and control construction and implementation, and commission plants.

• Engineering Support: provide support and project management for planning, evaluation, design, and construction related activities for insect breeding, reproduction, production, and transformation facilities.

• Decision Making: help decide the locations for new plants at the start of development projects.

• Leadership: manage and lead our talented engineering team and collaborate with external consultants.

Are You the One We’re Searching For?

• High education degree in Industrial/Automation/Mechanical/Processing Engineering or equivalent, MSc is preferable.

• At least 15 years of increasingly responsible, professional experience in the study, design, construction, and administration of industrial plants, processes, and equipment, with at least 5 years in leading or supervising teams. Experience in feed/food/biotech industry is an asset.

• Ability to successfully manage clients and projects collaboratively and interface with all Nasekomo team members.

• Previous business development experience (writing winning proposals and successfully pursuing work).

• Understanding of multi-discipline aspects of infrastructure and industrial designs. • Strong project and program management skills.

• Ability to focus on client needs while balancing multiple priorities including project management, design, bidding, and management of construction and implementation services.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to conduct effective presentations and prepare written reports and documents.

• Valid driver’s license and good driving record.

• Fluent in English.
