Sustainability Expert

ProCredit Bank (Bulgaria) EAD is part of the German ProCredit Group, headquartered in Frankfurt, Germany. ProCredit Bank is a development-oriented commercial bank. The Sustainability Department has been operating in the Bank since 2012, and therefore possesses a wealth of practical knowledge and solutions in the field of ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) from which you can learn and contribute to its development. Confirmation of our success are the numerous sustainability awards we received during last year.

Currently we are looking for a Sustainability Expert

Main responsibilities:

  • Conducting sustainability analysis of specific investments made by our clients, which include various machines, buildings and production processes, in accordance with the guidelines of the European Taxonomy;
  • Active communication with colleagues from the branch network regarding investments in energy efficiency, environmental protection, and renewable energy sources. Opportunity to participate in client meetings as an expert on these topics;
  • Participation in project management related to the development of solutions for assessing and addressing climate risks and social challenges. Those include financial, procedural and software (IT) solutions;
  • Structuring and conducting training for the Bank’s employees on topics related to ESG;
  • Analyzing data, making improvement proposals, and preparing reports related to ESG;
  • Monitoring regulatory developments at a national and international level on topics related to sustainable development (EU Taxonomy, CSRD, ECB & EBA Guidelines, etc.);
  • Coordinating the ESG framework with other relevant departments in the Bank, including credit and general risk, reporting, infrastructure, and others.

Requirements:

  • University degree in business, engineering, environmental sciences, or similar fields;
  • Good organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks;
  • Analytical thinking, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn;
  • Proficiency in English;
  • Ability to work with large datasets and process them through MS Excel;
  • Advantageous qualifications include:
  • Experience in the field of sustainability, ESG, or corporate social responsibility (CSR);
  • Understanding of the energy characteristics and efficiency of various types of production machines and processes.
