Junior Logistics Specialist (no previous experience required)

On behalf of one of our trusted clients, an international company, we are looking for an ambitious and motivated professional to work as a  Junior Logistics Specialist.

Responsibilities:

• Act as a logistical single point of contact, organizing and monitoring inbound and outbound shipments;
• Assign shipments to designated carriers / agents and ensure pick up;
• Monitor shipment progress, handle exceptions during transportation and inform all affected parties in the supply chain;
• Provide ad hoc transport management for urgent shipments outside of the scope of the regular supply chain network;
• Reflect on and provide alternatives to recurring issues within the supply chain;
• Accrue transportation costs, issue invoices and provide cost reports;Support the implementation and stabilization of new projects / processes;
• Partake in continuous improvement workshops;
• Maintain regular contact with all partners, ensuring up-to-date information in the global logistics network.

Requirements:

• University degree in Economics, Logistics - would be an advantage;
• Experience in road or air freight & in-depth knowledge of the international logistics market - would be an advantage;
• Independent use of English, written and spoken;
• Computer literacy & good knowledge of MS Office applications;
• Analytical, problem solving and prioritization skills.
