API Software Engineer – Mid/Senior
Our client is a homegrown technology company with offices in Bulgaria and the US and more than 15 years of experience, creating and implementing innovative communication and IoT solutions for the security industry. Your new role: The position requires an experienced, reliable and results-oriented person who enjoys making new things and helping to make old things work better. This role will significantly contribute to our platforms through your coding, planning and collaboration skills. We have challenging problems to solve and love working with smart people who can help us solve them.
- Write well designed, testable, efficient code that’s easy to understand and well tested
- Understand the needs of our business and help us find the best path to meet them while building awesome software
- Build guard rails so we can move fast – we want to be the most responsive team in the industry and need help automating our manual tasks and having enough coverage to allow us to refactor the code as needed
- Work on a variety of projects with minimum supervision, perform effectively from sprint planning to DevOps
- Provide support and participate in the Scrum process to ensure quality work plans for each sprint and into the future
What we are looking for:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science Engineering or related field or equivalent work experience
- 3+ years modern JavaScript in an API setting or as middleware
- Experience with modern applications (CI/CD, instrumentation)
- Experience in REST API design and development
- Understanding of Relational Databases, SQL (MySQL, MariaDB)
- Git with Git Flow or similar branching strategies
