PRODUCTION DIRECTOR

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Production Management & Operations to oversee and optimize the efficiency of our client production processes.

Job overview: This role is integral to ensuring the seamless execution of projects, from initial conception through to final delivery. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in production management and operations, coupled with proven leadership abilities.

Duties will include:

• Be responsible for all aspects of production processes,
• Develop and implement strategic plans for production operations aligned with company goals and objectives.
• Provide leadership and guidance to production managers, coordinators, and other team members to ensure cohesive and efficient workflow.
• Collaborate with creative and technical teams to plan and execute production schedules that meet quality standards and deadlines.
• Manage production budgets, monitor expenditures, and optimize resource allocation to enhance efficiency and minimize costs.
• Continuously evaluate production workflows and processes to identify areas for improvement and implement standard processes.
• Identify potential risks and proactively develop contingency plans to mitigate disruptions to production schedules or operations.
• Resolve production-related issues and challenges in a timely and effective manner, fostering a culture of problem-solving and innovation.
• Recruit, train, and mentor production staff to cultivate an impactful team capable of achieving production goals.

Candidate profile – who you are:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Master’s degree preferred)
• At least five years of experience in an industrial environment (ideally in the automotive industry)
• Minimum five years of relevant working experience in a manufacturing environment, production management, operations management, and related roles.
• Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.
• Good level of written and spoken English
• Proficiency in production management software, budgeting tools, and other relevant technologies.
• Strong leadership abilities with demonstrated experience in managing and developing teams.
• Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and stakeholders.
• Strategic thinker with a track record of implementing process improvements and achieving operational efficiencies.
