Global Senior Warranty Manager

We are seeking a Global Senior Warranty Manager to join our client's team in Sofia, which is a leading international provider of innovative automotive lighting solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Group-wide responsibility for the "Process Warranty Costs Lead", its compliance and continuous improvement, and the associated raising of awareness on the subject of warranty in the organizations. Continuous overview of warranty cases at the sites and support of the sites in warranty handling or, if necessary, coordination of cross-site activities for optimal handling of warranty cases and thus maximisation of the commercial effects for the company.
  • Responsible for implementing the goals, measures and requirements derived from the Integrated Management System (IMS) in the areas of quality, environment, health and safety (in accordance with the ISO 9001, IATF 16949, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and binding obligations) with due consideration to continuous improvement.

Tasks:

  • Regular coordination with the QCM's of the sites on current warranty cases and negotiations.
  • Regular review of the COPQ status with the QCMs of the locations
  • Ensuring cross-site exchange of information on activities in the context of warranty cases (analyses, measures,...)
  • Ongoing evaluation and visualization of warranty processing group-wide, per location, per customer
  • Proactive reaction to risks identified in the course of ongoing warranty-evaluation
  • Initiation of cross-location assessments and measures of potentially overarching warranty issues
  • Consideration of market-specific general conditions both on the product and in the course of the warranty process
  • Coordination of customer-specific warranty processing across the locations
  • Supporting the locations in evaluating warranty agreements and sub-areas in applicable documents related to warranty and negotiating with customers
  • Contract review, contract agreements
  • Reconciliations from the RFQ
  • Involvement in contract agreement
  • Background knowledge then for later
  • Cascaded review within the function (Level 1 site QCM, Level 2 Group-PW)
  • Supporting the locations in preparing for audits related to warranty provisions
  • Defines the way in which the functional tasks are implemented (the "HOW"), defines and prioritizes the implementation of concrete duties (the WHAT)
  • Local labor law compliance (including worktime, contract, vacation approval, working from home approval, travel approval etc.)
  • Approval of salary adjustments/increases (after positive performance appraisal by the functional superior) within the scope of budgetary possibilities
  • Determination, continuously adaption and assurance of the working environment, occupational safety and the required working conditions (ensuring work equipment location, printer, m², environment, infrastructure, etc.).
  • Onboarding responsibility together with the local HR and the Global Superior
  • Responsible for internal and external audits and certifications (IATF, customer audits, ) as authorized representative of the discipline GQ-PW
  • Represents GQ-PW towards the legal authorities

Requirements:

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Engineering, Automotive Technology, or a related technical field
  • Several years of professional experience in automotive quality management
  • Solid quality education, including expertise in quality assurance methodologies and standards
  • Proven leadership experience in managing technical or quality-focused teams
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to address and resolve warranty-related issues
  • Intercultural competence and ability to work in a global environment
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills for internal and external stakeholders
