Electricity Trading Specialist /Power Trader/

Our client is an international cement and building materials producer. We are looking for motivated and qualified person to join their team as an Electricity Trading Specialist

Main responsibilities:

• Monitors the development of the electricity market and pricing fluctuations and optimization of trading processes
• Participates in up-to-date information gathering regarding daily and hourly electricity needs of the company
• Participates in analysis and tracking of forecasted and consumed volumes of electricity on a daily, weekly and monthly basis (optimization of imbalances)
• Participates in operational electricity trading activity on the Independent Bulgarian Electricity Exchange and Active trading on European intraday electricity markets
• Prepares monthly reports on costs and savings from electricity trading activity and consumption
• Evaluates and monitors positions, identifies trading opportunities and risks
• Communication with business partners
• Analyses the effect of the balancing group in the cost optimization of the operation and coordinates the relations with it as well with IBEX and ESO
• Represent the company in from of BFIEK and will actively participate in internal as well as external before the authorities’ meetings
• Identify and train a junior team of traders and manage the team thereafter

Requirements:

• At least 2 years of professional experience
• University degree in mathematics, computational science, engineering, finance or economics
• Solid knowledge of energy sector legislation
• Very good command of the English language
• Strong attention to details, ability to analyze data and to make conclusions and recommendations
• Excellent planning and organizational skills, ability to prioritize activities
• Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills, team-player attitude
• Self-driven and result-oriented
