For our client, a logistics company, we are looking for a driven professional for the mission of:

JUNIOR FORWARDER

The Major Responsibilities Include:

• Organizes and monitors the progress of each specific shipment by corresponding with the client, the carrier and the company's partners; • Actively participates in the processes of constant change and development of the organization; • Prepares offers in agreement with the direct manager; • Prepares and fills in the necessary transport and internal company documents; • Determines the amounts due for transportation and services provided; • Requests from partners and suppliers information about the movement of goods and promptly informs customers; • Prepares invoices to clients and partners; • Accepts and approves invoices and accompanying documents from suppliers and partners; • Maintains discipline; • Performs tasks assigned by the immediate supervisor in a high quality and on time; • Prepares market-oriented tariffs for the offered services together with the direct head of the department; • Provides the necessary information about potential and current clients to the head of the department; • Studies the needs and requirements of customers; • Negotiates prices and concludes transport deals up to the limit set by the immediate supervisor; • Handles customer complains and emergency situations together with customs/insurance department and warehouse staff; • Monitors changes in the regulatory framework affecting the activity; • Introduces and trains new colleagues; • Replaces absent employees in the department; • Maintains a way of communication and appearance in accordance with generally accepted business standards; • Supervision/monitoring of the loads and vehicles; • Making sure that the goods and vehicles depart accordingly the loading plan; • Communication with drivers and loaders; • Finding solutions in case of problems ( for e.g. vehicle is not departing); • Participation in multimodal project business, which usually takes place 3-4 times a year;

Requirements:

• Relevant education • Professional experience is an advantage • Results and profit oriented; • Written and spoken command of German or English; • Intermediate level of computer literacy • Communicative; • Team Player • Innovation, initiative and creativity • Responsible, reliable and loyal to the organization • Good adaptability to changing conditions and unforeseen situations; • Ability to work under load and stress • Disciplined; • For this position it is important to be able to think fast and to pay attention to details;
