For our client, a leading manufacturer of food products, we are looking for a driven professional for the mission of:

PROCESS ENGINEER

The Major Responsibilities Include:

• Work alongside the production manager, maintenance and engineering professionals in developing concepts, plans and activities related to the planned set up and commissioning of new production lines, as well as the upgrade of current facilities and equipment; • Lead the related industrial projects from concept and design, through equipment sourcing, installation and commissioning, to operational effectiveness, maintenance and troubleshooting; • Collaborate with engineering colleagues in foreign locations to facilitate the effective transfer of know-how, technical expertise and best practices and processes; • Provides control systems technical support to areas of responsibility; • Identifies and works with technical personnel to develop best practices for process(es)/equipment; • Lead and implement major maintenance changes in process improvements; propose or specify repair alteration of automation while ensuring adequate documentation is maintained; • Enables and assists in the training of operators and mechanics as well as other technical team members to improve the understanding of the areas’ control systems; • Leads troubleshooting and root cause analysis for complex control system related issues; • Responsible for developing/updating maintenance/operating procedures impacted by control systems; • Networks and leverages the broader organization, as needed; • Support all company safety and quality programs and initiatives; • Apply and support Lean Manufacturing principles; • May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned;

Requirements:

• At least 3-5 years of relevant professional experience in manufacturing environment in an engineering role; • Experience managing / working on complex industrial engineering projects is preferred; • International exposure is desirable; • Practical knowledge of manufacturing best practices, latest technologies, methodologies, standards, certifications etc. is expected; • Academic Degree in Engineering - Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical or another relevant field; • Fluent command of English; • PC proficiency (MS office); • Working knowledge of ERP – SAP preferred; • PLC background and experience will be considered an advantage; • Demonstrated ability to apply technical knowledge to diagnose, troubleshoot, solve or help others solve equipment and/or process issues; • Demonstrated ability to teach, coach, mentor, develop others, and work in a team-based environment; • Ability to plan, prioritize and manage multiple, complex, time-sensitive projects; • Demonstrated skill in team building and achieving results through influence and negotiation; • Good interpersonal and communication skills; must work well in both self-managed and team environment; • Open to learn and work with the latest technologies; • Superior communication skills; • Strong organizational skills, ability to set adequate priorities; • Notable reliability and can-do approach; • Drive for excellence in execution; • Dynamic, initiative and pro-active personality;
