We are looking for a CHIEF ACCOUNTANT

Someone who directs, organizes, oversees and is responsible for the overall financial and accounting activities to ensure timely and accurate accounting transactions. Performs economic analyses, internal financial controls. In the current structure of the company, the role is yet to be established:

Duties and Responsibilities

Leadership Serve as the Head of the Accounting Department, overseeing all accounting operations within the company; Directly supervise the accounting team, ensuring compliance with national and international accounting standards and regulations; Provide mentorship, guidance, and performance oversight to ensure the effectiveness of the department. Analytical Support Assist senior management in making strategic financial, accounting, and tax-related decisions; Analyze economic transactions, emerging business events, and assess the impact of accounting policies on overall company performance; Provide insight and recommendations based on data interpretation and financial trends. Organizational Responsibilities Manage a high volume of financial data and information, requiring excellent organizational and time management skills; Structure and coordinate the workload within the accounting team, ensuring clear division of roles and responsibilities; Design and maintain effective processes for timely and accurate accounting reports in accordance with international accounting standards, tax legislation, and internal budget targets; Monitor and analyze the balance sheet, income statements, expense reports, and cash flow movements. Financial Policy & Reporting Participate in the development and implementation of the company’s financial policies and reporting practices; Ensure all financial reports are accurate, timely, and aligned with corporate objectives and compliance requirements. Communication Act as a central point of coordination for the accounting team; Provide clear instructions and direction, and collaborate closely with senior leadership; Communicate proactively regarding risks, discrepancies, or opportunities for process improvement. Requirements of position:

1. Education University degree in Accounting and Control and/or Finance; Very good computer literacy, including excellent skills in Microsoft Excel; Proficiency in English – minimum B2 level according to the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR).

2. Professional experience Minimum 5 years of professional experience in the field of Accounting and/or Finance; At least 3 years of experience in the role of Chief Accountant; Minimum 2 years of experience in people and process management.

3. Specific requirements Strong sense of responsibility and ownership; Excellent communication and team collaboration skills; Proven ability to meet tight deadlines and work under pressure; Goal-oriented mindset with the ability to set and follow through on objectives; Strong planning and organizational skills in a fast-paced environment; Minimum of 3 years of experience working with International Accounting Standards – considered an advantage.
