Role Overview

As a Technical Assistant in our Computer Networks and Technical Support team you will work directly with the Senior Expert of Computer Networks and Systems and the rest of the technical team to support them in daily activities. You will play a crucial role in supporting and maintaining the company's IT infrastructure in our offices based in Sofia and in Dubai. This position requires frequent business trips abroad for 2-3 weeks at a time. You will be assisting in the design, implementation, and management of network systems to ensure optimal performance and security, as well as in office works. You will work closely with senior network engineers and IT professionals to troubleshoot issues, implement solutions, and improve overall network efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Travel frequently to company offices abroad, primarily in Dubai, for 2-3 week periods at a time, to execute technical and network tasks as outlined by the Senior Technical Team
  • Maintain computer systems and networks
  • Serve and administer the company's hardware and software
  • Participate in the company's logistics processes
  • Participate in the identification and resolution of hardware or software issues
  • Participate in maintenance processes and routine repairs in the office
  • Communicate with clients, suppliers, team members and other business partners
  • Oversee contractors in buildup and construction processes

Qualifications and Skills

To be successful in this role, we believe a mix of technical and soft skills is required. In the list below you can see what we think are the characteristics of the “ideal candidate”:

  • Hardware skills: Experience and ability to assemble, install, debug and modify settings of computers, servers and networks
  • Software: Solid experience with Windows and MacOS in installing, maintaining and debugging, and basic experience with Linux doing the same
  • Handyman skills: Hands-on experience with various instruments and tools for repair, as well as handling basic construction and renovation works
  • Education: Minimum requirement is a specialized high school degree. Higher education in a related field is preferred and considered an advantage
  • English Fluency: Fluent spoken and written English is mandatory. Communication with various foreign stakeholders will occur daily
  • Flexibility to travel: Availability for frequent business trips for extended periods of time, predominantly to Dubai
  • Smart Home & IoT technologies: Keen interest in Smart Home and IoT technologies. Experience in these areas is a big advantage
  • Independence and initiative: Ability and willingness to work independently, to proactively confront challenges, and to adapt to rapidly changing project demands
  • Communication skills: Very good verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate technical concepts, problem statements and solutions to diverse audiences, including non-technical stakeholders
  • Problem-solving and analytical thinking: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a passion for identifying issues and for conceptualizing, evaluating and implementing solutions
