Technical Product Manager – MobiSystems Cloud Service

With over 23 years of experience, we have successfully developed and launched renowned applications like OfficeSuite, PDF Extra and MobiDrive which have become popular alternatives to products from Microsoft and Adobe. Currently, we have a team of 200 dedicated professionals at our headquarters in Sofia, Bulgaria, and an office in San Diego, USA.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for a technical product manager who will define and deliver the core backend services that power all of MobiSystems products. Internally known as “MSConnect”, this highly scalable distributed backend runs on the Google Cloud Platform and is responsible for:

  • 20 million user accounts,
  • 4 million subscriptions and licenses,
  • 600 terabytes of users’ cloud files,
  • integrations with 20+ external systems.

You will work alongside the Principal Product Manager for MSConnect and ensure that the weekly releases of the 8-member engineering team meet the needs of the MobiSystems products and our strategic priorities.

What will you do?

  • Participate in the planning of the service roadmap with stakeholders from the Business, Product and Engineering.
  • Maintain the service roadmap and define the necessary epics, stories and tasks.
  • Create service specifications, including detailed technical diagrams (sequence, data flow, flowchart, etc.) as needed.
  • Provide any clarifications that might be needed to the Engineering team during the implementation.
  • Review the implemented services from a functional perspective.
  • Help the QA team to define test scenarios and prioritize the bugs found during testing.
  • Drive the delivery of service releases on a weekly rhythm.
  • Review the technical and business service metrics on a regular basis in order to improve and grow the service.

What do we look for in a candidate?

  • 2+ years of experience as a technical lead, product owner, business analyst or related role for a cloud-based or server-based software service.
  • Strong analytical and technical skills, possibly with previous software development experience.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
  • Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
  • Excellent English – written & spoken (level C1/C2)
