Embedded Firmware/Software Developer

Our client is an international technology company, which develops products and provides cloud and connectivity services for the IoT. Its portfolio consists of communication equipment for the security industry, energy distribution, logistics and more. We seek creative candidates to support new and existing product development initiatives for software application development the cellular communicators and home automation systems.

Your new role:

The Embedded Firmware/Software Developer will design, evaluate and implement firmware for new products and test and modify existing ones. The Embedded Firmware/Software Developer shall be able to collaborate openly with members of all company departments.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform end-to-end design, development and implementation of firmware;
  • Improve the design and performance of the existing code;
  • Code review and pair programming;
  • Bug fixing and improve product performance;
  • Perform analogue and digital data analysis with oscilloscope, spectrum analyzers, etc.
  • Work with a task-based approach in an agile environment (Scrum);
  • Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize code efficiency.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor/Master in Computer Science, Informatics or similar;
  • Programming proficiency in C;
  • Good understanding of micro-controllers and embedded systems;
  • RT OS or similar operating system application development experience is an advantage;
  • As advantages are considered experience with ST Microcontrollers and GSM modules, plus IoT development;
  • Must be a self-starter, able to work productively without close supervision.
