Financial Controller (Product Management)

Job overview:

  • This is a key role in the supply chain department – the product management unit. It should coordinate the overall process of gathering and analyzing data and information related to the movement of raw materials from order and delivery, to sorting and grading, manufacturing and product development, inventory, and distribution, with the ultimate goal of forecasting and managing company's product portfolio and commercial activity as efficiently as possible.

Scope of the role:

  • Managing information extraction and analysis through all business units and turning it into key business data
  • Overseeing the product lifecycle and helping management in making the best business decisions
  • Collecting, clarifying, and analyzing complex business data from various sources within the company - sales, planning, logistics, sorting, finance and controlling, to identify trends, patterns and opportunities to improve product strategy and supply chain
  • Producing and maintaining detailed reports and analyzes on a regular basis, summarizing KPIs and providing actionable insights to improve product management and sales operations
  • Developing, maintaining, and updating company’s product portfolio, supporting product parameters and characteristics
  • Seeking ways to optimize the profitability of the entire product cycle by analyzing results and formulating action plans with Product Manager
  • Optimizing stock holding considering regional specifics and conducting sell-through and stock turn analyses
  • Identifying problematic and undervalued items and proposing corrective sales actions – such as price and rating changes, to extract maximum value from available products and achieve optimal profitability
  • Developing complex files and formats for processing data and performing analyzes that ensure good monitoring of product and commercial operations and real-time decision making
  • Effectively communicating complex findings based on analytical data to non-technical parties through effective communication and presentation of data in a business context
  • Supporting the automation of manual tasks in the internal ERP system development and implementation process
  • Using advanced analytical tools and techniques to build models to forecast sales, performance and portfolio trends related to the company's product lines
  • Making corrections and updating of requests to suppliers
  • Preparing information and references regarding supplies of raw materials and goods.

The Ideal candidate:

  • Education in economics/finances/statistics or similar is strongly desired.
  • Experience within Product Control / Management, Financial Control, Accounting, or related area.
  • Additional business and data analysis trainings are an asset.
  • Proven experience and deep knowledge in business, supply chain and operations analysis, ideally in a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of sales & business operations back-office analysis and very good analytical skills.
  • Experience in reporting on key business operations metrics.
  • Exceptional written & verbal communication skills in English, coupled with a strong technology-oriented aptitude and excellent interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, extraordinary skills in Excel and ERP Software.
  • Inherent team player, consistently fostering collaboration and taking ownership of responsibilities with a strong sense of accountability.
