Mission of the position:

The company is looking to hire a capable and ambitious individual to head the finance function in Bulgaria and elevate it to new standards. The primary mission of the role will be to continue the implementation of appropriate financial accounting, management accounting and controlling procedures across the company. It is expected that the future Head of Finance would partner the business in developing a more efficient, growth-oriented and profitable organization. All financial, tax and statutory reporting responsibilities, as well as administration and compliance are within the scope of the positions as well.

Main responsibilities:

•Support the organization strategy with sound financial advice and guidance.

•Ensure efficiency & effectiveness of the finance function setup and management. Act as a business partner by providing support on administrative and legal issues.

•Build and further develop the company finance/accounting organizational structure and is actively involved in revising and constantly improving the process and the practices related to the finance function.

•Timely and accurate recording of financial and fiscal data in the systems and the subsequent reporting in accordance with legal obligations and Group policies and guidelines, as well as providing the necessary information and support during statutory audits.

•Tax management: Ensure that all fiscal obligations (VAT, Intrastat, income tax etc.), accounting and reporting to the authorities are dealt with in accordance with local applicable rules and regulations, provide the necessary support during external audits (VAT, Corporate Income Tax).

•Takes responsibility for the compliance with transfer pricing documentation requirements. Work closely with external tax advisors and provide appropriate reporting and advice to support Group decisions.

•Perform a monthly review and analysis of the financial statements, where applicable, including budgets and forecasts and provide corresponding reports to global / local management.

•Provide support to local management with respect to management reporting, budgeting, investments and contracts, ensure the necessary controls have been implemented to ensure accurate reporting and to avoid fraud.

•Contribute to corporate policy formulation and improvement thereof, implement the financial and administrative processes at local level ensuring efficient usage of systems, tools and applications.

•Cash management: Manage local payments and receivables, manage the local cash position and bank relations, provide in a timely manner the cash forecast and all information for decision purposes regarding bank issues.

•Supervise and ensure continuity of the team and promote the development of the appropriate technical and business competencies to improve their professional and personal skills.

•Act as a link to auditors and other relevant institutions

Best description of Ideal Candidate:

•University degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or other related. •Additional qualifications like ACCA, CIMA, CFA would be considered an advantage. •Solid experience in Finance with at least 3 to 5 years as HF/FD/ FM. •Knowledge of Pharmaceuticals business would be considered an advantage. •Experience in companies with manufacturing is preferred. •Experience in international companies and strong previous international exposure. •Experience in managing middle-sized teams. •Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
