On their behalf, we are looking for a strong professional to join their team as:
CHIEF ACCOUNTANT
Role purpose:
You will be supporting our Finance and Accounting Department by safeguarding that all accounting procedures comply with local legal & tax requirements and also with Group guidelines, via accurate and on time bookkeeping, in order to provide information for the management and to support company’s decision making. You will prepare the company’s tax returns (income tax, VAT, etc.), monitor all liabilities (taxes and other) and ensure on time payments, monitoring, forecasting & reporting, as well as cash-flow development, with the support of 3 accountants as direct reports.
Key responsibilities will include:
• Prepare the Financial Statements
• Monitor legislation changes and act accordingly
• Provide direction and effective operation for Accounting department
• Implement the Group Policy in accounting and cash management
• Prepare all liquidity reports on monthly base
• Monitor and control Fixed Assets management
• Responsible for all matters related to the Tax Authorities
• Responsible for the accurate book keeping according to the Local Legislation
• Supervise the Accounting team and audit the accounting postings according to local legislation & the Group Policy.
The successful applicant will meet the following requirements:
• University degree (Finance, Accounting or related field)
• At least 5 years of experience in Accounting / Finance
• Expertise in Financial and Management Accounting, Taxes and Duties, thorough understanding of Financial Software Systems
• Proficiency in MS Office, in particular MS Excel
• English – very good command (written and spoken)
• Analytical skills with attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills and ability to prioritize
• Team player with result orientation
