SENIOR CATEGORY MANAGER

For one of our clients - we are looking for a driven, experienced and ambitious professional for the mission of:

SENIOR CATEGORY MANAGER

The Major Responsibilities Include:

• Develops and implements a relevant strategy for the product category and vendors, in accordance with the global corporate strategy; • Ensures the achievement of the set objectives in terms of revenue, profit, inventory and capital flow; • Conducts forecasting and applies corrective measures for achieving the budget in terms of sales, profits, inventory; • Manages a dedicated small team; • Coordinates all operational functions and tasks for the product category, distributes tasks and is responsible for their timely and high-quality delivery; • Works in close collaboration with vendors and stores; • Develops sustainable relations with vendors through regular communication, while observing performance and profitability of individual vendors within the product category; • Has active role in planning and conducting negotiations with partners; • Plans and coordinates the implementation of promotional activities; • Responsible for pricing adjustments according to company policy and market conditions • Performs regular yearly review of the product range; • Structures the assortment based on client needs and market trends – at least once per year in every product group; • Participates in the development of private label products, compliant with brand positioning and quality control; • Develops POGs for individual stores and forecasting for local inventory and sales; • Develops and plans merchandising, where relevant tools and processes are available; • Organizes fair participation and events’ kiosks; • Tracks consumer needs within the relevant customer segments; • Recognizes market trends, attends fairs and events relevant to the product category and performs market research; • Performs regular analysis and research of competitors – wholesale and retail, and ensures competitive pricing;

Key Requirements:

• University Degree in Business, Economics, Management or another related field; • At least 3 years proven high-performing track record of buying / category management in retail / wholesale; • Superior communication skills, abilities to negotiate with various internal and external stakeholders; • Independent and self-driven professional with excellent organizational skills; • A team player. Proven people management capacity is preferred; • Analytical thinking and capacity for decision making; Flexibility; • Computer literacy is a must – Office, exposure to ERP systems; • Fluency in English;
