For one of our clients, a multinational food production company – we are searching for a driven professional for the mission of:

M&R AUTOMATION ENGINEER

The Major Responsibilities Include:

• Provides control systems technical support to areas of responsibility • Identifies and works with technical personnel to develop best practices for process(es)/equipment • Lead and implement major maintenance changes in process improvements; propose or specify repair alteration of automation while ensuring adequate documentation is maintained. • Enables and assists in the training of operators and mechanics as well as other technical team members to improve the understanding of the areas’ control systems • Leads troubleshooting and root cause analysis for complex control system related issues • Responsible for developing/updating maintenance/operating procedures impacted by control systems • Networks and leverages the broader organization, as needed • Support all company safety and quality programs and initiatives. • Apply and support Lean Manufacturing principles. • May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements:

• At least 3+ years of working experience in manufacturing environment • Certain international exposure will be an advantage • University degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering • Demonstrated ability to apply technical knowledge to diagnose, troubleshoot, solve or help others solve equipment and/or process issues. • Fluent or very good command of English. • PLC background will be considered an advantage. • PC proficiency (MS office, SAP) • Good communication skills; must work well in both self-managed and team environment • Demonstrated ability to teach, coach, mentor, develop others, and work in a team-based environment. • Demonstrated ability to plan, prioritize and manage multiple, complex, time-sensitive projects. • Demonstrated skill in team building and achieving results through influence and negotiation.
