On behalf of our trusted client we are looking for an experienced candidate to join company’s growing team and occupy the position of General Ledger Accountant with English.
Summary of the job:
- General accounting including preparing journal entries, maintaining balance sheet schedules and ledgers and account and bank reconciliations.
- Assisting with monthly closings and account analysis and supporting the senior accountant in carrying out his responsibilities.
- The successful candidate will need to display flexibility and will need to be able to manage a up to two local ledgers.
Essential functions:
- Compile and analyze financial information to prepare financial statements including monthly and annual accounts.
- Ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with accepted policies and procedures.
- Ensure all financial reporting deadlines are met.
- Prepare financial management reports.
- Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close.
- Establish and monitor the implementation and maintenance of accounting control procedures.
- Resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities.
- Support of budget and forecast activities.
- Develop and maintain financial data bases.
- Support financial audit preparation and coordinate the audit process.
- Ensure accurate and appropriate recording and analysis of revenues and expenses.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
- 2+ years of accounting experience.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
