For one of our valued clients, a global leader in automation technology and technical education, we’re currently looking for a Core Embedded Developer.

Mission: This developer will design, build, and maintain embedded software for various new products, ensuring smooth integration and supporting product certification. You will also work with communication protocols and collaborate with teams to deliver high-quality, reliable software solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Design, build, maintain, and test embedded software used in many of our new products.
• Write clear technical specifications for new features.
• Create detailed designs for software parts.
• Review and document code with help from your teammates.
• Help with software integration in projects.
• Support product certification and qualification processes.

Requirements:

• Experience designing and developing embedded systems.
• Strong coding skills in C++, and some experience with C or Python.
• Knowledge of real-time operating systems (RTOS) and real-time system analysis.
• Understanding of embedded hardware like ARM boards and single-board computers.
• Experience with communication protocols such as PROFIBUS, CAN, DeviceNet, Modbus, and EtherCAT.
• Familiar with messaging and data handling techniques.
• Skilled in version control tools like Git and debugging software.
• Basic knowledge of networking (TCP/IP, UDP) and network layouts.
• Bonus if you know about cybersecurity or functional safety.

Education and Skills:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Automation, or similar.
• Certifications in industrial communication protocols are a plus.
• Experience with Agile development.
• Quick decision-maker, responsible and goal-focused.
• Team player, client-oriented, creative, and eager to learn.
