Functional Manual Test Engineer - Hardware

Your new role:

The Manual Functional Test Engineer will test our prototypes and products in R&D. The Engineer will participate in test procedures and methods to ensure devices’ properly functioning and that the products meet industry and customer specifications. Our new colleague will also validate product reliability through analysis and troubleshooting of components and equipment at various stages of the product development process. The Engineer will collaborate closely with all members of our software development team.


  • Execute manual functional tests of hardware devices and appropriate software (embedded, web, and mobile).
  • Research installation manuals and manually setup third-party equipment (alarm panels and home automation devices).
  • Maintain existing execution plans and test procedures and develop new ones.
  • Prepare and verify internal knowledgebase articles.
  • Utilize test instruments to test our products' functionality and performance.
  • Serve as the second level of technical support.*


  • 2+ years of experience in manual QA testing of software/hardware.
  • Passion for quality assurance, attention to detail, analytical approach and desire to understand reasons behind failed tests.
  • Basic knowledge of digital electronics.
  • Basic knowledge of multilayer PCB layout design.
  • High School diploma and/or Bachelors/Masters degree in electronic engineering or an equivalent field is an advantage.
  • Must be a self-starter, able to work productively without close supervision.*
